Project teams submitting energy models for LEED often receive double-digit comments under the Energy & Atmosphere Prerequisite – Minimum Energy Performance. Four years ago, Baumann Consulting implemented a purpose-designed quality control process on all our LEED energy models, which reduced the number of GBCI Preliminary Review comments on EAp2/EAc1 from a team-wide average of 12 pre-implementation to 5 in post-implementation. Many of our post-implementation energy modeling submissions came back with zero review comments, and last year we didn’t lose LEED points on any projects during the review process. We have the same success rate with energy modeling for code compliance!

Our team of experienced building simulation experts offers peer review services for energy models by applying the same stringent review process. This service helps project teams comply with certification and code requirements on the first submission and avoids uncertainty in change orders and achieving certification goals or even worse, permit delays.
