West Monroe Partners is a business and technology consulting firm headquartered in Chicago, IL. The firm provides professional consulting services to businesses across many industries including banking, insurance, technology, healthcare, life sciences, and more.
West Monroe Partners expanded its office space in three cities–Chicago, Minneapolis, and New York City–to accommodate the firm’s growing needs. All three offices feature an open office concept with collaboration and meeting spaces. The buildouts also feature sustainability features such as water-saving fixtures and construction materials with high recycled content.
As the commissioning agent for this project, Baumann Consulting performed fundamental and enhanced commissioning services for the three offices. The commissioned systems included: water source heat pumps (WSHPs), VAV boxes, fan coil units, lighting controls, domestic hot water provisions, and electric panels.
Since the three offices had the same project schedule, the Baumann team had to work with three different contractors simultaneously. This required effective project management and coordination and several site visits during the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Our commissioning services supported the successful LEED v4 ID+C certification of the three offices. The Chicago office achieved LEED Gold and the Minneapolis and New York offices achieved LEED Silver.
