Hyon Rah joined Baumann Consulting as a Consultant in 2015. In her previous roles as an architect and sustainability manager for hospitality and commercial design projects, Hyon developed a strong background in water systems at both the building and urban scales. She has lived around the world and gained valuable work experience in the U.S., UK, Korea, Germany, Spain, and Japan as an architect, flood risk management consultant, LEED project manager and teacher.
Hyon earned a Master of Science in Water Management and Hydroinformatics in 2013 through the European Commission’s EuroAquae Program, a consortium of four EU-based universities, including Newcastle University (UK), Universitat Politecnica de Catalunuya (Spain), Brandenburg Technical University Cottbus Senffenberg (Germany), and Polytech Nice Sophia Antipolis (France). Hyon received her Master of Architecture degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in 2010, and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Washington in 2005. Hyon is a certified LEED AP and Envision Sustainability Professional.
