Annie Marston joined Baumann Consulting in 2008, where she serves as the Head of the Building Performance Group. Annie is an expert in energy modeling and related simulation applications including CFD and daylight modeling, energy simulations for LEED certification projects, parametric studies during conceptual design to select the most energy efficient solutions, and energy consumption modeling on the scale of whole cities and counties for Integrated Energy Master Plans (IEMPs).
Annie is proficient in various modeling and simulation programs and related applications, including EnergyPlus, DesignBuilder, Google SketchUp, IES, Ecotect, Radiance, Star CCM+, FLUENT, and others. She is also familiar working with EQuest, TRNSYS, and Trane Trace.
The author of numerous papers and presentations, Annie has spoken at various industry conferences including ASHRAE’s Energy Modeling and High Performance Building Conferences and SimBuild. She also teaches EnergyPlus to graduate students at the Catholic University of America and serves as the Vice President of the Washington, D.C. chapter of IBPSA.
Annie holds a Master’s of Mathematics from St. Andrews University (2002) and a Master’s of Science in Renewable Energy and Architecture from the University of Nottingham (2005). Annie earned her Ph.D. with a focus on the Built Environment from the University of Nottingham in 2008.
